Chocolate Chip Apple Sauce Cake
- 114 g Tree Top Apple Sauce
- 114 g butter, softened
- 167 g granulated sugar
- 100 g eggs
- 220 g all-purpose flour
- 4.40 g baking soda
- 2.60 g cinnamon
- 1.30 g allspice
- 0.60 g ground cloves
- 1.90 g salt
- 61 g walnuts
- 168 g (6oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 325 F. Grease and flour a 9″ x 5″ x 3″ loaf pan.
Cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time.
Sift together the next six ingredients. Add to creamed mixture alternately with the apple sauce. Stir in the walnuts and 2/3 of the chocolate chips. Pour into loaf pan. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips over the top.
Bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
