168.75 g Tree Top Evaporated Apple Pie Pieces

100 g sugar

474 g water

1.15 g cinnamon

Pastry for 2 crust pie

1.52 g salt



Preheat oven to 425 F.

Place apples in water and bring to a boil. Let cool in liquid. Drain. Do not discard liquid. Place apples in pastry-lined 9-inch pie pan. Sprinkle with mixture of sugar, cinnamon and salt. Add 1/2 cup liquid drained from apples, dot with butter, cover with top pastry.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.  Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.
