Apple Ginger Cookies


256 g Tree Top Apple Puree SS

220 g brown sugar, packed

113 g butter, softened

103 g shortening

5 g ground ginger

100 g eggs

30.6 g milk

384 g all-purpose flour

4.6 g baking powder

7.5 g salt

100 g nuts, optional

Powdered sugar



Preheat oven to 375 F.

Beat brown sugar, butter, shortening and eggs in large bowl. Stir in apple puree and milk. Stir in flour, ginger, baking powder, salt and nuts.

Drop by rounded spoonful about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack to cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while warm.
