Apple Breakfast Cake
- 122 g Tree Top Applesauce
- 119 g Tree Top Apple Juice
- 46 g Tree Top Infused Apple Dices (1743)
- 192 g all-purpose flour
- 60 g whole-wheat flour
- 9.60 g baking powder
- 4.60 g ground cinnamon
- 4.60 g ground nutmeg
- 150 g eggs
- 57 g vegetable shortening
- Cinnamon sugar for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
Combine flours, baking powder, baking soda and spices in medium bowl.
In a large bowl, combine the eggs, applesauce, apple juice and vegetable shortening and beat until well blended. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Fold in the apples.
Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the top.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a rack before cutting into squares.
