Apple Betty Crumble
- 225 g Tree Top Evaporated Apples (1/2″ x 3/8″ x 1/4″)
- 1.15 g cinnamon
- 355.50 g water
- 133.20 g sugar
- 51.25 g butter, melted
- 1.52 g salt
- 90 g bread crumbs (oven toasted)
Gently boil apples in water in covered pan for 5 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes after cooking. Drain.
Mix melted butter with bread crumbs.
Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt.
Place layer of apples in greased (8″x8″ or 9″x9″) baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon mixture. Add layer of crumbs.
Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with crumbs. Cover and bake in 350 F oven for 30 minutes. Remove cover for last 5 minutes to brown crumbs.
