The Processing Strawberry Advisory Board of California has released information on how the strawberry processing crop came in last year. The above graph shows that the dominant variety group in Oxnard last season was made up of proprietary and other varieties, while the Santa Maria district harvested the San Andreas variety primarily for processing. Based on current planted acreage, it looks like this could be similar in 2016.
