Early blueberry varieties including Duke, Legacy and Patriot are in full bloom in the Willamette Valley. The recent warm weather was great for pollination, and growers are expecting another large blueberry crop as long as they get through frost season unscathed. This is about the same time bloom happened last year, which was one of the earliest harvest dates on record, so growers are expecting an early crop yet again.
