California strawberry freezer volume just concluded the largest four week period of the year. The volume of the past four weeks has been the largest four week period of the past ten years. The overall volume of freezer grade fruit is also now the largest year to date volume since 2007. Consumption numbers still remain high for freezer grade strawberries based on USDA report numbers through the end of May. Imports of frozen strawberries are also higher year to date in 2015 than they have been over the past five years.
