The price posted for California processing #1 grade strawberries started at an average of $0.55 per pound this year. There is very little fruit being delivered at this price in California currently. In recent years the field price has increased from the beginning to the end of the season based on demand. The current price could follow this pattern again if the delivered volume remains low.
