The volume of fruit being delivered to processors in the state of California currently is much less than this same time last year in the #1 grade category. Very little of the fruit delivered to processors so far originated in the state. Most of the fruit reported to date has come in from Baja, Mexico and has been processed in California. California growers are still picking fresh market fruit. The expected weather events in the coming week may push some fruit to processing, but there should not be a need for growers to convert entire fields over yet for processing.
