The California Pear Advisory Board meets tomorrow to set the estimate for this seasons California pear crop. The pricing for this year’s processing crop going to canning has been set for both the Northwest and California. The top price being offered to growers in California is up substantially from last years price. The price being paid for medium grade pears in California went up even more than the large size pears. That price increased by $100 per ton over last year. This has been the largest jump in pear pricing in California in many years.EditDelete
