California Bloom 2-26-2016

February 26, 2016 | 0 min read

California stone fruit bloom in the San Joaquin valley has been pushed along by the recent stretch of warm weather. Apricot (top photo) cling peach (middle photo) and cherry (bottom photo) crops are all out in full bloom. The cling peach crop north of Sacramento is in full bloom today as well. This is the earliest full bloom date for that area since 1995. The bloom is large with very few gaps on the trees. The same is true for the almond crop statewide. The warm and dry weather recently should also allow for a good set of fruit on these trees.
