California Apricot 3-18-2016

March 18, 2016 | 0 min read

The California apricot crop bloomed in late February. The crop set well, and it looks good today for all of the weather events that happened after bloom. Even organic apricot blocks look good after the recent rains. Organic blocks typically have had more difficulty with fruit set in poor weather, but the general consensus is that the crop overall will be good this year. The only difficulty in the state is with one large grower that has had financial trouble recently. There could be less fruit harvested in the state this year depending on what happens to that grower.
