Acreage of fall planted strawberries in California has increased this year by more than one thousand acres over last year, but is still below the acreage planted for the 2018 crop cycle. Total strawberry volume was off last year due in part to acreage declines as well as weather events during the season. The increased acreage should point to a greater supply of strawberries in the spring. The timing of the fall crop is behind where it was at this point last year.
