Oregon blackberry harvest has been underway for almost a month, with only the late varieties left to be harvested. This crop is projected to be one of the largest on record in Oregon. Because of the large volumes, most of the local blackberry processors cut off their growers last week. It has been a tough season for the growers with low field pricing, too much supply, and not enough demand for the large blackberry crop.
