The Processing Strawberry Advisory Board of California met last week to determine a date in 2017 for field price posting. The meeting concluded without a date being selected. It was considered that this year may be one in which price posting may not happen until sometime in May. This would be the first time this would happen since 2004. The large inventory levels in the state have slowed this process down for 2017. The board will meet again in two weeks to see if a price posting date can be established for this year.
