California freezer grade strawberry deliveries have lagged behind last year’s volume for the entire year, and the current volume year to date is the lowest since 2011. It looks like this will be a short volume year overall if this trend continues through the month of June. Current field prices are the highest they have historically been. It is possible that they could go a little higher later in the season if the volume stays low for the next few weeks.
