Strawberry fresh market volume in California is still trending much slower than this same time last year. Currently only half as much volume is being picked as this time last season. Santa Maria fields (top photo) have been picking out about a third as much volume over the past few days as the Oxnard district has. Oxnard fields (bottom photo) are ahead of Santa Maria by a few weeks, but both districts expect to have decent volume in about three weeks.
