California processing strawberry volumes continue to be light in the industry currently. After a quick start this season, the delivery of fruit to processors has slowed considerably. The past two weeks have had less than ten million pounds of freezer grade fruit per week and less than two million pounds of juice grade per week. It is anticipated that with the current strong market for fresh strawberries the processors in California may not seen significant volumes until the end of the month of May.
