California stone fruit has been packed and sold for the past few weeks. The size of the crop seems to be good. Varieties are picking out close to their estimates overall. Fruit size seems to be smaller this year, and the selling price for fresh market stone fruit has been a little weak recently. Overall the crop is in good shape, but labor concerns are popping up in areas where they are harvesting current varieties and thinning later varieties. The late season crop may be adversely affected by the lack of labor to thin the crop currently.
