California Drought

June 11, 2015 | 0 min read

The drought that California is experiencing is putting growers under water stress in areas around the state. Most permanent crop growers in the San Joaquin valley have enough water for this year from wells and surface water, but a few have not been able to get enough water to keep their crops alive. This block of organic apricots will have to be removed after this year due to a lack of irrigation water available to this grower. There are still many wells being drilled in the valley currently to help growers save their crops from conditions like this.
