The California Canning Peach Association has reported that they have reached an agreement with one of the canneries in California for a price increase of $30 per ton over what growers received in 2015. The steady price increases over the past few years have been a result of fewer acres along with pressure from other crops that compete for land in California. The increase in production costs and labor have also played a role in increasing grower pricing.
