Grape 2017
The fruit set on Concord Grapes in Burbank, WA looks to be OK after the cold Winter and wet Spring we had here in Washington. Due to these growing conditions we are expecting harvest to begin at the end of September. This is more “typical” timing for harvest compared to the previous two growing seasons.
Tart Cherry 2017
Tart Cherry harvest has just begun in Washington State. The orchards look great, and the trees avoided damage from the cold winter and wet spring. The crop in Michigan was hit with frost, so the overall production in the U.S. will be down from last season.
Blackberry Harvest 2017
Blackberry harvest in Oregon is currently underway and is expected to last until early August. The harvest season is more condensed this year due to multiple varieties coming off at once. Yields look to be average, and quality has been great so far.
