Chocolate Walnut Apple Cake


309 g Tree Top Low Moisture/Evaporated Apple Dices, rehydrated in 21 g Tree Top Apple Juice Concentrate and 89 g water

256 g butter

381 g granulated sugar

150 g eggs

105 g water

345 g all-purpose flour

4.60 g baking soda

2.30 g baking powder

2.60 g cinnamon

2.60 g allspice

16 g powdered cocoa

13 g vanilla

86 g chocolate chips

112 g walnuts, chopped



Rehydrate apples in concentrate/water mixture for at least 5 minutes. Drain well.

Beat together butter, sugar and eggs. Add next 8 ingredients; mix thoroughly. Fold in remaining ingredients and pour batter into a greased and floured 9" x 13" pan.

Bake at 325 F for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
