Apple Ham Sandwich
3 Fresh Apple Slices
2 slices multi-grain bread
3 slices Black Forest ham
2 slices Swiss cheese
2 tablespoons onion jam (recipe follows)
1 large white or yellow onion
13.75 g brown sugar
Layer apple slices, ham, swiss cheese and onion jam between 2 slices of bread.
Slice onion into thin strips. Combine sliced onion and brown sugar in
large saucepan and cook over medium heat until caramelized, stirring
occasionally. Approximately 45 minutes.
